Holy cow. I took a LOT of décor photos at this wedding. I just loved all the cute chalkboard signs and seashell centerpieces that Sue made herself! I also couldn’t help but take about a thousand dancing photos. This crowd really knew how to get down on the dance floor! What a fun night had by all.
The day started off at Juan’s home in Norwalk Connecticut, where he was getting ready with his children. If I remember correctly, 3 different people had a hand in tying his tie just perfectly. Once everyone was buttoned and tied, we took a bunch of group photos in the back yard. Juan’s sons were cracking jokes, which made for some pretty great moments caught on film. Then I headed over to the Norwalk Inn & Conference Center, where Sue was getting ready in the honeymoon suite. She had her dress, shoes, jewelry and flowers all ready to be photographed when I arrived. She even had a box of sand and seashells for me to take photos of the rings in! Gotta love a women who comes prepared. Then her mom and sister helped her into her beautiful wedding gown and it was time to get hitched!
The ceremony was held out by the pool. It actually started raining just as the ceremony was about to start, but it promptly stopped the second Sue started walking (running?!) down the aisle. I’d say that’s good luck! The JP that was marrying Sue and Juan informed everyone that the ceremony would be under 6 minutes in length, and he wasn’t joking. They got in, professed their love to each other, and got out before all the guests had a chance to completely cover them in confetti. Then we headed over to the Norwalk Town Green area to take some photos of the newly married couple.
The day continued with a reception in the ballroom at the Norwalk Inn. There was a costume change, a tear-jerking speech, dinner, a cupcake tower and LOTS of dancing. We’re talking conga lines, the limbo, breakdancing, and even wobble lessons. The night ended in a giant group hug with Sue and Juan in the middle of all their friends and family.
